We ate this all up before I remembered to take a picture. 🙂 I found this on allrecipes.com a while ago, adapted it a bit and now we all love it (even the 4-year-old!) Warning: it’s a bit spicy.
1 Tbsp Brown sugar
2 Tbsp Honey
1/4 cup Soy sauce
2 tsp Fresh ginger root, chopped
2 tsp Fresh garlic, chopped
1-2 Tbsp Hot sauce (1 is plenty for us!)
1/4-1/2 cup flour to dredge chicken strips
Salt and pepper to taste
4 Chicken breasts, cut into 1/2 inch strips (one pound)
1 Tbsp olive oil
Serve over brown rice or over salad greens for an Asian salad.
Tonight we served over brown rice with salad on the side. I think it would taste great with broccoli and carrots added to the chicken to have more vegetables. I’m planning to do that next time!
Hope you enjoy it as much as we do!
