“So… tell me about yourself.”

I do not like that question.

How can I sum myself up in a sentence or two?  How do I know what this job interviewer / potential new friend / random person at the park really is asking?

Am I really just an amalgamation of all of the roles that I play and the things that I like?

Nevertheless… here’s my attempt.

Here is who I am:

I’m a person just trying to get through life.  I’m trying to get to the point of fully living life — embracing possibilities, living by my priorities, balancing all of those responsibilities.

I’m passionate about my family, reading and literacy, and helping others.  I don’t know that my actions always match up with my intents.

I have a not-so-secret wish to write a book someday.  Yet I feel pretty insignificant… what is so important about what I have to say?

This blog is ramblings on my world.  Rediscovering me.  Reaching out to you.

  1. how do i subscribe to your blog, melody?

    • I just added an option to subscribe… on the right under archives. That will send an e-mail when I do a blog post. Other than that… I’m still trying to figure out the best way to follow blogs too. (Anyone out there have any suggestions???)

  2. I just stumbled across your blog from who-knows-where and felt compelled to answer this question from way back in April! Google Reader is a great way to keep up with all the new posts from blogs you want to follow. Happy reading!
